Dick Birmingham

Internationally known and respected coach and clinician, Dick Birmingham is president of Dick Birmingham Sports, an organization dedicated to baseball instruction at all levels. Dick was Head baseball coach at Hillcrest High School in Springfield, Missouri, for 25 years and also served as the Hillcrest American Legion baseball head coach for 18 years. Birmingham was American Legion Baseball Coach of the Year in 1970 and National High School Baseball Coach of the Year in 1979. Coach Birmingham was Co-founder and Executive Director of the Missouri High School Baseball Coaches Association and served on the Baseball Advisory Committee for the Missouri State High School Activities Association for 13 years. In 1993, Dick was the head coach of the gold-medal winning USA team in the Pan-American Junior Baseball Championship. In 1990 and 1991, Dick served as the general manager and head coach respectively and his teams captured the silver medal in the Pan-American Junior Baseball Championship. Dick Birmingham has been a featured speaker at the American Baseball Coaches Association and the National High School Baseball Coaches Association clinics. Dick has organized and participated in baseball camps and clinics in over 40 states, Canada, Latin America, South America, the Caribbean, and Europe. He is a member of several Halls of Fame including the American Baseball Coaches Association, the Missouri Baseball Coaches, the Iowa Baseball Coaches and the Springfield Area Sports Hall of Fame.

Charlie Hough

Born:   January 5, 1948, Honolulu, Hawaii.
Career:   Began career in 1970 with the Los Angeles Dodgers. Ended career in 1995 with the Florida Marlins.
Statistics:   25 years, 3,801.1 innings pitched, 216 wins, 216 losses, 2,362 strikeouts, 3.75 ERA.
Honors: All Star - 1986. State of Hawaii, Athlete of the Century.
Current: Retired and golfing.
CNN Sports Illustrated — Charlie Hough

Tim Leary

Birth Place: December 23, 1958, Santa Monica, California.
Career: After receiving Academic All-American honors in 1979 from UCLA, Tim was drafted 2nd pick in the 1st round of the June collegiate draft by the New York Mets. He began is Major League career in 1981. Tim's best year was in 1988 with the Los Angeles Dodgers where he had 17 wins and 11 losses pitching 228 innings with 180 strikeouts and 56 walks with a 2.29 ERA. Tim helped the Dodgers to a World Series victory over the Oakland Athletics.
Statistics: 13 years pitching in 292 games, 1,491 innings, lifetime ERA of 4.36.
Awards: 1988 Dodger Pitcher of the Year.
Current: Personal pitching instructor to young pitchers in Southern California

Ted Lilly

Birth Place: January 4,1976, Lomita, California.
Career: Began career with the Montreal Expos in 1999. Traded to the New York Yankees in 2000. Traded to the Oakland Athletics July 2002.
Statistics: 2 years, 183.1 innings pitched, 5 wins 10 losses, 179 strikeouts, 5.25 ERA.
Awards: Pitched a (1) hit, complete game, against the Seattle Mariners in 2002.
Current: Starting Pitcher with the Oakland Athletics.

Pete O'Brien

Born: February 9, 1958, Santa Monica, California.
Career: Began career in 1982 with the Texas Rangers. Ended career in 1994 with the Seattle Mariners.
Statistics: 12 Years, 1,567 Games, 5,437 AB's, 169 HR's, 736 RBI's.
Awards: Texas Rangers Player of the Year - 1987. Led American League First Basemen with .995 fielding percentage in 1987. Winner of the Padsy Fagan Golf Cup 2000 and 2001.
Current: Director of the Fort Worth Cats Baseball Team, an Independent League baseball team in Fort Worth, Texas.

Larry Parrish

Born: November 10, 1953, Winter Haven, Florida.
Career: Began career with the Montreal Expos in 1974. Ended career in 1988 with the Boston Red Sox. Played three years in Japan setting the Home run record in 1989 with 50 home runs.
Statistics: 15 years, 1,891 Games, 6,792 AB's, 256 HR's, 992 RBI's.
Awards: 1986 - All Star, Texas Ranger Player of the Year - 1986.
Current: Scout with the Detroit Tigers.

Mike Scott

Born: April 26, 1955, Santa Monica, California.
Career: Began career in 1979 with the New York Mets. Ended career in 1991 with the Houston Astros.
Statistics: 13 years, 2,068 innings pitched, 124 wins, 108 losses, 1,469 strikeouts, 3.54 ERA.
Honors: All Star - 1986, 1987, 1989. Cy Young - 1986, League Championship MVP - 1986 No Hitter - 9-25-1986. Starting pitcher for the National League in 1987.
Current: Giving and receiving golf lessons at El Niguel CC , Laguna Niguel, California.
CNN Sports Illustrated — Mike Scott

Matt Sinatro

Born: March 22, 1960, West Hartford, Connecticut.
Career: Began career in 1981 with the Atlanta Braves. Ended career with the Seattle Mariners in 1992. Used mostly as a backup catcher with great defensive skills.
Statistics: 140 Games, 252 AB's, 21 RBI's, .244 On Base Percentage.
Current: Bullpen coach for the Seattle Mariners. Co-owner of "The Big League Connection" baseball instructional facility in Redmond, Washington.
