Players-Profile.com was founded in 2002 by Larry O'Brien and Jim Lefebvre.
Players-Profile.com's purpose and objective is to provide a unique Internet service that identifies, evaluates, develops, showcases and helps place college bound athletes with the right college program. To that end, Players-Profile.com:
- Provides a detailed database of valuable player information to college coaches.
- Performs strength, agility and performance testing of Players-Profile.com member players so they can measure their progress and share this data with Players-Profile.com's member college coaches or scouts.
- Develops a streaming video presentation of each Players-Profile.com member players so that coaches can readily evaluate their skill potential.
- Develops a web page for each Players-Profile.com member players so that they can provide personal, sport specific and scholastic information to Players-Profile.com member coaches. This may increase their chances of being recruited and receiving a scholarship.
- Provides instructional training for all levels of competition from the beginner stage to the most advanced professional stage at Jim Lefebvre's baseball training facility in Mesa Arizona.
- Provides showcase tournaments for Players-Profile.com member players at Jim Lefebvre's baseball training facility in Mesa Arizona. All Players-Profile.com member college coaches and scouts throughout North America will be invited to attend these tournaments at no cost.
Founders
Larry O’Brien has been involved at all levels of baseball since 1982. He is a player agent who has represented over twenty five players at different levels of professional baseball. One of Larry's current clients is Ted Lilly, a starting pitcher for the Oakland Athletics. Larry maintains close working relationships with college coaches and players as well as General Managers, Scouts, Coaches and Players at the professional level. Larry met Jim Lefebvre while Jim was managing Larry's brother, Pete O'Brien, with the Seattle Mariners in 1991. Larry observed Jim Lefebvre in action as he coached and instructed these players to their most successful season, at that time, in franchise history in 1991.
Jim Lefebvre has been involved in professional baseball since he was "Rookie of the Year" with the Los Angeles Dodgers in 1965. He was a National League All-Star in 1966. Jim has played, coached and managed at all levels of professional baseball since 1965. Jim is currently the hitting coach for the Cincinnati Reds organization. He has managed the Seattle Mariners, Chicago Cubs, and Milwaukee Brewers. Jim has also coached in the San Francisco Giant, Oakland Athletic, and Los Angeles Dodger organizations. Jim Lefebvre is one of the finest American baseball instructors in the game today.
